此项目是为品牌御东龙所设计的鳗鱼食品系列包装。产品为蒲烧与白烧鳗鱼,因此客户希望在包装视觉中能体现出些许日式调性。除了食品类包装中一般都需要出现的产品图片(我们并没有采用照片,而是以插画的形式进行了分门别类的绘制),我们决定以纯文字作为主要的视觉。而这种字体又不能过于冷僻小众,必须是大众认知中的“日式”字体,所以我们决定使用“勘亭流”风格。现有的勘亭流字库对字体的处理过于数码化,缺乏温度,所以我们决定自己书写一套勘亭流字体。我们在网络上查阅了大量的日本江户时期的勘亭流书法文献,对其风格有所了解后,使用数位板在photoshop内对该品牌包装需要用到的文案,全部采用勘亭流书法文献中的造型风格仿写了一遍,试图重现勘亭流字体的“书写”温度。此举希望能够在大众食品包装领域中注入一些别样的视觉面貌。
This project is a series of packaging for eel food designed for the brand Yudonglong. The products are grilled and white-grilled eel, so the customer hopes to reflect a little Japanese style in the packaging vision. In addition to the product pictures that generally need to appear in food packaging (we did not use photos, but drew them into categories in the form of illustrations), we decided to use plain text as the main visual. And this font can't be too obscure and niche, it must be a "Japanese" font in the public perception, so we decided to use the "Kanting style" style. The existing Kantingliu font library is too digital and lacks warmth, so we decided to write a set of Kantingliu fonts by ourselves. We have checked a large number of Kantei-style calligraphy literatures from the Edo period in Japan on the Internet, and after getting to know its style, we use the digital tablet to use the copywriting needed for the brand packaging in photoshop, all of which are in the style of Kantei-ryu calligraphy literature. I copied it again, trying to reproduce the "writing" temperature of the Kanting style font. This move hopes to inject some different visual aspects into the field of mass food packaging.
